Why must electrochemical sensors be aged before use?

    Before sensor calibration, the sensor needs to be aged to ensure that the calibration point is the steady-state point of the sensor.

    For sensors with bias voltage, during aging, the working electrode is controlled within the required bias voltage range relative to the reference electrode, allowing the sensor to enter a ready working state.

    The aging process will neutralize the charge accumulation on the opposite electrode. At the same time, the sensor will also have some other gases adsorbed on it during storage, which can be reacted out through aging.
